We are teaming up with local experts, healers, and Boise Parks & Rec to learn about and harvest St. John's Wort and help support native landscapes at the same time!

St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) is a plant that has been used as a medicinal herb for over 2,000 years. Learn more about the plant's medicinal properties at the Vervain Collective on Tuesday, June 24. However, St. John's Wort is also a noxious weed in Idaho! It can outcompete native plants and is toxic to livestock.

Please join us for a 2-part event!

6/28/25 9:30-11:30

Take a walk with Boise Parks and Rec Foothills Restoration Specialist Martha Brabec to remove/harvest St. John's Wort at Polecat Reserve! Volunteer with the Boise Parks and Rec Weed Warriors to cooperatively remove invasive species where they form monocultures and outcompete native plants. Join Weed Warriors as they work with local organizations to stop the spread of harmful weeds and make our valley healthier!

**This event is free. However, registration is required!
